Kirsten Dunst is quite the style star these days. The actress has been making waves on and off the red carpet by working a series of very different outfits. Ensembles with a vintage feel have always worked for Kirsten, but now she’s branching out, trying new things, and working it every time.

At the special screening of her movie Melancholia in Hollywood, Kirsten stuck to her vintage inclinations and chose to wear a floral Dolce and Gabbana ensemble. The red and orange frock was brimming with Old Hollywood charm, and the delicate black sandals she wore were perfect for the dress.

For the LA Times Hollywood Roundtable, she went a totally different direction in an edgy outfit. Her black leather Derek Lam dress and peep-toe Chanel booties, coupled with her messy hair, dark eye makeup, and plum lips gave her a subtly gothic, yet still pretty look.

Kirsten took another route at the 2011 MOCA Gala. She opted for a strapless Rodarte gown with light blue and embroidered navy panels. It was a unique dress that wasn’t like anything else on the red carpet.

Off the red carpet, Kirsten wins as well. The actress was photographed leaving a studio in Los Angeles after taping an episode of Chelsea Lately looking incredibly chic. She had on a mustard yellow top tucked into flared navy pants, which she dressed up with red lips, brown wooden sandals, sunglasses, and a navy shoulder bag.

Kirsten may be in a retro outfit one day and a rock-and-roll one the next, but what never changes is the feminine aura mixed with an alternative edge that she always manages to inject into her ensembles. Her style has become eclectic, but she has also gotten so good at knowing what works for her.

Nikki Reed was simply smashing at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the 2011 Rome International Film Festival. The actress, who plays the difficult vampire Rosalie Hale in the Twilight movies, was breathtaking on the red carpet in a white Maria Lucia Hohan gown. It had a Grecian-inspired silhouette, with a very low but very classy neckline, cut-outs on the sides, draping at the back, and a full skirt. Peeking out of the side of her dress was one of her tattoos – a small detail that gave the angelic, white frock a naughty twist. It was a dream of a dress – very elegant and regal, but undeniably sexy as well.

Nikki has done nothing but go up in the star ranks ever since she co-wrote and starred in the film Thirteen. She acted in movies like Mini’s First Time and Lords of Dogtown and earned her acting chops. Then she landed the coveted role of one of Twilight’s lead vampires and is now a fixture on the red carpet.

She’s had amazing growth in her personal life as well. She just got married to Paul McDonald, a former American Idol contestant and lead singer of the band The Grand Magnolias. They met at the Red Riding Hood premiere in March of this year and started dating in April. They got engaged in June and tied the knot on October 16 at a ranch in Malibu. The actress also launched a blog this year, where she gets pretty introspective and writes beautiful essays about her life (like this post about a trip to a music festival with her siginificant other). Nikki has truly grown in her style, career and personal life. It has been a great year for her, that’s for sure.

Karen Gillan’s star has slowly been rising ever since she snagged the role of Amy Pond in the Doctor Who TV series. The Scottish actress and former model has been marvelous working alongside the boyish Matt Smith, and the public is now taking notice. Karen just won the Best Actress award at the 2011 TV Choice Awards, besting Amanda Burton, the late Elisabeth Sladen, and Vicky McClure.

Karen was also simply adorable at the awards. She turned up at the London event in a simple peach dress with silver embellishments. It highlighted her luminous, pale skin and made her red hair seem even redder. She looked utterly sweet. What’s even better is that she could have chosen to go completely feminine with the frock, but she didn’t. Instead, she chose to wear an oversized, light blue jacket over it and topped it off with black loafers. It’s an unexpected twist that took the outfit to a whole other level.

Karen’s got acting chops, gorgeous looks, and a unique sense of style to boot. It looks like this redhead will be staying in front of the cameras for quite a while.

For the Moscow premiere of the movie, Rosie wore a fabulous one-shouldered Gucci gown. It had a floral, chartreuse yellow top and a sheer, black skirt that she wore with black hot pants inside. It was such a classy way to go ultra-sexy on the red carpet!

At the Berlin premiere, she went demure and chose a short-sleeved Naeem Khan gown. Studded with silver sequins, the front of the dress was so simple, with a modest neckline and only a thin silver belt serving as an accent. The back however, was another story, cut low up to beyond her waist.

In London, she turned up the sex appeal even more with an incredibly revealing gown from Burberry. The blue dress had a V-shaped neckline that went down to her waist, and a back that only had a T strap to keep everything together. It showed off all her assets, that’s for sure! Now we can’t wait to see Rosie at the USA premiere.

When she was photographed leaving the Comedy Theater in London, she was wearing a gray top with a striped bottom, a slim denim jacket, tapered red-orange pants, a black messenger bag, and some gnarly black sneakers. A few days back, she was spotted at The Box Club in London in a Twenty8Twelve t-shirt under a black Burberry Prorsum leather biker jacket, blue jeans, red Chloe ankle boots, and an orange Prada bag. She was totally rocking her own style while staying on trend at the same time.

Jamie Chung first grabbed our attention at the world premiere of her movie, Sucker Punch, in Hollywood. She was quite the stunner on the red carpet in a strapless, yellow Giambattista Valli dress. Her fabulous frock had a nude sash that matched her nude pumps, which showed that she had a terrific sense of style.

Now we’re getting a glimpse of her style off the red carpet, in this picture of her after a sushi dinner with her Sucker Punch co-stars in London. The actress was photographed leaving the Yauatcha Sushi restaurant in Soho, looking too sweet for words. She was wearing a black and white scalloped shirt from Topshop, on top of a black pleated skirt. She kept her accessories simple, with just a gold Chanel necklace, a thin gold watch, a black Proenza Schouler PS1 bag and pretty, black and lilac ankle strap heels. We’ll surely be keeping tabs on her adorable style from now on.

Gwen Stefani was fierce and fabulous as usual at New York Fashion Week. The rockstar turned fashion designer took to the runway at her LAMB show in a one-shouldered, black-and-white, sheer, animal print jumpsuit. Gwen even tweeted pictures of herself at the show, in the ensemble that only she could pull off. It’s a wild look alright, but she paired it with lots of attitude and the confidence she’s had since way back when her band No Doubt was just starting, and it turned out fantastic. The LAMB show itself was as eclectic and rock-and-roll as Gwen, with soldier girls, raggamuffin girls, buffalo girls, mod girls and glamour girls. Gwen’s unique sense of style always prevails, whether it’s in the clothes she designs or the things she wears.
