The fashion industry can’t get enough of designer collaborations. So many collections have come and gone, and yet so many are still popping up. The latest to come out of the woodwork is Jason Wu for Target. The Taiwan-born, New York-based designer collaborated with the retailer and came up with an sophisticated, yet accessible, limited-edition line. He took inspiration from “An American Girl in Paris”, which resulted in a collection that is beautiful and modern, yet also very youthful, to the point of being truly cute.

Jason Wu also managed to give the collection a lot of variety, while keeping to the central Parisian theme. There are peplum tops, pointelle and sailor sweaters, cap-sleeved blouses, cuffed shorts, t-shirts, and long-sleeved sheer blouses. Skirts vary from lace-printed ones to canvas and circle-shaped. The dresses come in so many styles and are all adorable. There are pleated shift dresses, jersey dresses, printed dresses, and shirt dresses. The designer didn’t forget the accessories either. The floral lace clutches, saddle bags, floral canvas totes, woven and straw bags, and totes with cat prints (featuring Wu’s muse, Milu) are sure to be best-sellers.The Jason Wu for Target collection will be out on February 5 and will be available until March 6. Can’t wait? Here’s the very cute lookbook to tide you over until then.

Take a gander at this look from Lola’s blog, modeled by Kelly Osbourne. Super-flared pants? Check. Black vest with floral accents? Check. Chunky gold bangles? Check. Everything’s totally 70s with a punk rock slant! It’s going to be one badass collection to look forward to in the fall.

Like Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz said, it’s Lanvin for a wider audience, not just a dress for less. There is a lot of variety in this collection, with a great amount of color, prints and textures, such as ruffles, animal prints, puffed details, chic graphics, pleats, floral prints, ribbons, tulle, and more. The line is overflowing with dresses, ranging from pink and yellow to blue and black, but there are t-shirts, trenchcoats, blazers, faux fur jackets and skirts as well. Take your picks now, and then head on over to H&M stores or H&M online on November 23 to grab your choices. We know it will be hard to choose from such a fantastic collection, but you can do it!

Breton stripes are wardrobe must-haves. They’re classic and simple, with clean lines and colors. Breton stripes make the eyes dance without looking too busy, like prints, and you can go nautical with them in an instant as well. If you don’t have a Breton stripe shirt yet, now’s your chance to update your closet. Jean Paul Gaultier pour Opening Ceremony debuted at Fashion’s Night Out, and the collection includes updated versions of the Breton stripe shirt. They’re long-sleeved with buttons on the shoulders – very nautical indeed – and come in blue, black and pink varieties. This is Gaultier however, and he made sure he added his bad boy touch to the shirts by putting in his name on the sleeves and on the bottom of the shirts – in a very rock-and-roll, smudged fashion. These are classic, with a bit of attitude, and will be available this fall at Opening Ceremony.

This just might be one of the coolest designer collaborations yet! Lanvin has partnered up with H&M to come up with a line of clothing for both men and women. Lanvin’s artistic director, Albert Elbaz, released a statement saying, “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

Lanvin joins Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garcons and Sonia Rykiel in H&M’s list of designer collaborations. Are you excited? We’ll get a glimpse of the collection and all the details on November 2, and the entire collection will be out by November 23rd in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. We’ll be waiting a few months – we just hope it’s worth the wait. In the meantime, check out the video Albert Elbaz made to announce the collaboration to get you even more excited.

The new 2010 collection appears to have sleeker designs. The quilted nylon bags have more details on them, and there’s a variety of new shapes to choose from, like a large tote, a messenger bag and a backpack. New materials were used for this line too. One bowler handbag got a fur cover, while another got alligator skin. It’s all utterly covetable! The new line isn’t out yet though, so you’ll have to wait. Here’s the look book to tide you over in the meantime.

A woman can never have too many shoes. Different outfits need different pairs of shoes – that’s a fact, and an ensemble can go horribly wrong just because you put on the wrong pair. A sundress when you’re out on a romantic, al fresco lunch can look messy and far from sexy if you have on clunky shoes. Cynthia Vincent’s line for Target should be able to go with many of your outfits, and since it’s from Target and is super affordable (price range is $24.99 to $29.99), you can get a bunch to pair with a lot of things in your closet. There are strappy flat sandals, multi-colored flats and chunky wedges – our favorite’s the pair of wedges done in a colorful, ethnic sort of print. All are understated and basic, which means they’ll match your clothes without a problem. The line comes out on April 18, so make sure you stock up on these shoes by then.

[slideshow]

Fashion’s bad boy is going mainstream! Jean Paul Gaultier will be coming out with a line for retailer Target’s Designer Collaborations. The French designer is bringing his trademark Breton-inspired stripes to the masses, along with punk-inspired graphics and busy prints. What’s surprising is how tame the collection is! Don’t get it twisted – there are a few pieces that we instantly coveted. There’s a classic trench coat made modern by black stripes and pointy collars, a couple of eye graphic tees done in unusual cuts, some bouncy and bustier dresses, tattoo-printed pieces, and neat leather jackets. The rest of the collection consists of plain tops and dresses, some of which looked a little too sweet. Where’s the bad in bad boy? See the line for yourself when it comes out on March 7.
