Soda Pop: Natalie Portman is moving to Paris with her family

The black swan is on her way to Paris. Yes, the swan we’re referring to is none other than Natalie Portman, who will soon be living the Parisian life following her hubby Benjamin Millepied’s appointment as Paris Opera Ballet’s dance director.

According to an interview with The New York Times, the appointment came to Benjamin as a surprise, for he knew there were other candidates running for the position. “I was surprised, but I felt very quickly that the artistic dialogue between us was an exciting one. After a while, I did feel there was a really good chance I might get the position. Which made my head spin,” said Natalie’s other half.

Benjamin also mentioned that he will bring Natalie and their 20-month-old son Aleph with him, when he officially takes over the opera house in September 2014. Even though the Black Swan star will be far from Hollywood, we’re pretty sure this won’t be the end for her acting career. How many celebrities are there who have chosen to live overseas and yet still enjoy a stellar career? Besides, Hollywood will be a plane ride — albeit a long one — away.
