Soda Pop: Royal Watch – Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh go to churchPosted by Stella Lee on January 20, 2013 under Entertainment,Soda Pop
It seems like nothing – even the coldest of weathers – could stop Queen Elizabeth II from going to church. On January 20, Her Majesty was photographed with the Duke of Edinburgh walking to the Church of St. Lawrence in Castle Rising nearby Sandringham Estate in the UK to hear the Sunday mass.
The Queen kept herself warm and bundled up in a stylish mint coat and hat, not minding the freezing temperature and snowy grounds. In fact, the Royal couple didn’t look like they were bothered by the weather at all. The Queen found time to smile for the photographers and spend time with a little girl.
In related news, the Queen’s royal portrait has been put on display again following Kate Middleton’s unveiling barely two weeks ago. Reports say that the Duchess of Cambridge wasn’t the only one whose portrait was criticized by many people, because even the Queen’s painting – which was drawn by John Napper – also became a hot topic back in 1952.
It doesn’t really matter if you like the portrait or not because Queen Elizabeth II remains a woman of style and substance. Besides, she can pull off anything. Whether it’s a bright red coat or a fuchsia pink dress, the Queen will most likely nail it – just as long as there’s a matching hat.
