Beauty Extra: Nicki Minaj debuts Pink Friday perfume

Nicki Minaj was all smiles at the launch of her first fragrance effort called Pink Friday held at Macy’s Herald Square on Monday. The Super Bass singer-slash-rapper arrived in character, wearing a neon pink blazer, colorful bra top, blue and white paneled pants, and suede platform booties. Posing beside the bust-shaped bottle, Nicki’s ensemble made her look like a life-size caricature.

For her first perfume, Nicki incorporated sweet florals, vanilla and musk. In an interview with MTV.com, the voluptuous singer shared that she had been thinking of this fragrance for the last two years and that she asked for the pink wig to be put on the bottle.

This isn’t the first time Nicki has ventured into the world of beauty. She has previously collaborated with OPI for an outlandish ‘Did It On ‘Em’ nail polish and partnered with Ricky Martin for a MAC Viva Glam advertisement.

Pink Friday is already available for $59 at Macy’s.
