Soda Pop: Expecting Couple Alert - Shakira and Gerard Piqué

Colombian singer Shakira and her Spanish soccer player boyfriend Gerard Piqué are going to be parents soon. She proudly posted the announcement on her website, saying, “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!”

The couple has decided to postpone all the promotional activities for the next few days to prioritize the ‘unique moment’ in their lives. Unfortunately for her fans, Shakira cancelled her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino this coming weekend.

The baby will be the first for the couple who began dating in April 2011. It seems like 2012 is Shakira’s year since it was recently reported that the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker will be one of the newest judges on the American version of The Voice with RNB singer Usher.
