TV Tonic: Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle get sweet on the Gossip Girl set

Things got pretty messed up between Lily and Rufus during the last episode of Gossip Girl Season Five, but will they be able to rekindle their relationship in the final season? Their real life alter egos are sweet, at least. Kelly Rutherford – who plays Lily van der Woodsen in the hit CW series — was spotted giving Matthew Settle a.k.a. Rufus Humphrey a peck on the cheek as they shot scenes in New York on September 10.

Kelly was clad in a dress underneath a grey coat that she pulled off with black Christian Louboutin pumps, while Matthew wore a trench coat, black pants, and brown oxfords. Despite her custody battle with ex-husband Daniel Giersch, Kelly managed to smile and keep her head high during the shoot.

Meanwhile, Lily and Rufus’ romantic story is a must-watch for the upcoming season, especially since Bart Bass –Chuck’s long, lost father – is alive. Remember that Lily was married to Bart back in season one so technically speaking, she is still Mrs. Bass. Will Rufus and Lily reunite again (for the nth time!)?
