Music Mix: 2012 MTV Video Music AwardsPosted by Madeleine York on September 7, 2012 under Entertainment,Music Mix
It was another glittery night as Hollywood stars flooded the red carpet of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards that was held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 6. Like every awards show, there were stunners, and those who weren’t. We’ve listed down the stars who left us completely speechless. Check them out below:
Katy Perry had a lot of going on with a printed Elie Saab dress that she wore with Jimmy Choo shoes. The voluptuous singer – who kept her dark locks down- shared kisses (on the lips!) with One Direction boys Harry Styles and Niall Horan as she presented a Moonman to the band. The pop star got a Moonman herself for her hit song Wide Awake, which won Best Art Direction in a Video.
The soon-to-be Mrs. Liam Hemsworth — Miley Cyrus — vamped it up in a black Emilio Pucci ensemble that featured a low-cut neckline, which she teamed with an Edie Parker clutch. Though she looked a bit like Pink with her pixie cut styled in mohawk, Miley still rocked it glamorously.
Rihanna showed off her sleek pixie haircut with a white backless dress that accentuated her curves. The 24-year-old singer performed her new song Cockiness with Rocky as well as MTV VMA’s Video of the Year, We Found Love.
Model Amber Rose looked radiant as she walked down the red carpet in a fitted black lace gown that highlighted her growing bump as well as her blonde hair. She’s having the baby with Wiz Khalifa – who was nominated for Best Pop Video together with Maroon 5 for their video Payphone.
Taylor Swift has dumped the long gown and opted for a white neck-plunging suit instead that matched her gold strappy heels. The red-lipped singer sang her newest single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together live for the first time.
The forever headturner, Pink, showed up in a floor-length sparkly Stella McCartney dress with her famous blonde mohawk. She kept her best accessory – her husband Carey Hart – close to her while they posed for the cameras.
Emma Watson dressed her age in a colorful Peter Pilotto piece as she posed with The Perks of Being a Wallflower co-star Ezra Miller. The movie will hit theaters on September 20.
The British One Direction boys were the biggest winners of the night, taking home three Moonman statues. Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne won Best New Artist, while their chart-topper hit What Makes You Beautiful bagged the Best Pop Video and Most Share-Worthy Video awards.
