Soda Pop: Guy Watching Time – Jake Gyllenhaal and his bushy beard at the David Letterman Show

Jake Gyllenhaal rocked his scruffy mustache when he made an appearance at the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City last August 27. The 31-year-old actor looked sharp in a navy suit with a white shirt underneath and a pair of black shoes. His slicked back hair complemented his unkempt facial hair that he’s been sporting for quite some time now.

Jake is currently busy promoting his new movie End of Watch where he plays Officer Taylor – who watches the crooked streets of south central L.A. According to him, he spent five months on the streets with three sets of police officers from the sheriff department and Los Angeles Police Department as a part of his preparation.

Besides the silver screen, the Oscar nominee has taken over Broadway with Nicky Payne’s If There is I Haven’t Found It Yet. Jake acts as the British uncle who tries to protect his overweight 15-year-old niece from bullies. The play will officially open on September 20 at Laura Pels Theater in New York City.

Meanwhile, the American hottie is in hot water for allegedly being that ex-boyfriend whom Taylor Swift wrote about in her latest single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Jake shares the spot with Taylor’s other exes: Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, and John Mayer. Whether it is about him or not, Jake Gyllenhaal is good-looking even with his tousled beard still growing.
