Soda Pop: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce finalized

It is game over for one of Hollywood’s most recognized couples. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are officially divorced. The case was decided on August 20 when a judge from New York signed off on the final judgment, according to a report by E! News.

More than a month ago, Katie dropped the bomb by filing for divorce against ex-husband Tom and seeking sole custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri. The two actors agreed in a resolution, which remains private until now.

It was also reported that Tom is very happy that he is moving forward. “His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues,” the source says.
Tom and Katie got married last November 2006 in a fairy-tale like castle in Bracciano, Italy.
