Fashion Punch: Cap Toe Shoes

This started out as a micro-trend, but now it’s spreading like wildfire. Cap toe shoes have never been this fashionable until we spotted them on numerous runway shows, including the Christian Louboutin S/S 2012 and Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 collections. These to-die-for footwear just have that little extra oomph in the cap toe, which can definitely take an outfit to the next level. Here’s a list of fabulous cap toe shoes we found – from high-end labels to affordable brands.

Christian Louboutin Just Picks 100 studded patent-leather and PVC pumps via Net-A-Porter ($1,495) – Famously known as Loubs or Loubies, these heels always make a statement from fashionable runways to star-studded red carpets. The crystal-pointed toe caps are embellished with spike and pyramid studs that brings an ultra modern, edgy spin to its glam-rock design. No one can go wrong with the signature red leather soles.

Marni cap toe velvet wedge via Barneys ($755) – Made in velvet, this red and black Marni shoe has a gold cap toe that will turn heads. The buckled strap evokes a school-girl gone bad vibe too.

Miu Miu jeweled cap toe sneaker via Neiman Marcus ($595) – Who said caps are for high-heeled shoes only? This silver, metallic, napa leather sneaker proves that it can be as stylish as cap toe pointed pumps. Instead of the usual metal, its cap toe is decorated with a multi-cut clear jewel that gives the casual shoe a sophisticated slant.

J. Crew Everly cap toe t-strap pumps via J. Crew ($275) –  This will take you back to the 50s, when Italy’s Mr. Ratti designed this print that was originally a part of his scarf collection. The intricate foulard print on the shoe is made of silk, accented by a feminine t-strap. The purple leather cap toe takes it back to contemporary times.

Kate Spade New York Tabby cap toe ballerina flat via Bergdorf Goodman ($112) – Ballerina flats are classic and adorable. This one speaks of elegance with its glimmering gold cap toe and sweet bow on top.

Zara cap toe ankle boot via Zara ($15.99) – Boots are taking it to the next level by joining the cap toe shoe circle. This lace-up bootie stands tall at four inches with a glossy cap toe.
