Craving of the Moment: Flag-down Flats

The stars, stripes, and the Union Jack have come together in one fashion staple. These Repetto flag ballerina flats ($295) will surely amp your style as you cheer on for your favorite team in the upcoming London 2012 Olympics. These channel Helena Bonham Carter’s mismatched shoes at last year’s Golden Globes, but they are certainly to-die-for. The right shoe is embellished with the stars and stripes of the American flag,  while the left comes in the red, white, and blue design of the British flag. Both have knotted bows at the center that tone down the strangeness of the shoes and brings a certain charm to them. These will go with either a sweet little dress or a plain shirt and denim cut-offs. You’ll have no problems catching the Olympic spirit in these.
