Girl Crush of the Moment: Katy Perry at the Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D Premiere

Katy Perry

It’s time to purr Katycats! Katy Perry dazzled on the unusual pink red carpet at the Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D premiere last Tuesday in Hollywood, California. The California Gurls hitmaker was clad in a red velvet Dolce & Gabbana dress with a full skirt and a sweetheart neckline, which she paired with red pumps of the same brand. The Judith Leiber cake slice crystal minaudiere provided the perfect accent to the outfit and showed the pop star’s love for sweet costumes. She kept her hair in bouncy curls as she flaunted her always attention-grabbing nails.

Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D is a documentary-concert film that will feature Katy’s life onscreen as well as behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Interviews with her friends, manager, parents, and some fans will also be publicized through the film. Katy’s ex-husband Russell Brand also took part in the movie, but according to a Huffington Post interview, his scenes were reduced by the end mostly to phone and text messages.

Katy’s latest album, Teenage Dream made history in the music scene after placing second next to Michael Jackson’s Bad with five number one singles in the U.S. Billboard charts. While promoting her much-anticipated film (to hit 3D theaters on July 5), Katy is also busy working on plans to build her own music label. It seems like the singer wants to show the I-can-do-it attitude by following the footsteps of 1980s icon Madonna, who started Maverick Records in the 1990s.
