Fashion Extra: 2012 Billboard Music Awards Favorites

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards is over, and all we’re left with are the pictures of the event’s red carpet best. Most of the outfits were simply alright, but some stars did manage to turn up in ensembles that were truly spectacular. Here are our favorites.

Taylor Swift didn’t look happy on the red carpet, but she actually was, because she actually won the Billboard award for Woman of the Year. We’d say she was just being fierce, with her smoldering reddish eye makeup, and magnificent sleeveless gown with a sheer bodice from Elie Saab. She looked like she was channeling the ghost of Snow White’s evil stepmother, and she absolutely rocked it.

Carrie Underwood went for the total princess look, with an Oscar de la Renta gown. The sheer silver dress had a pink petticoat that was poufy and big and simply fabulous. Even her accessories were a win, with a bejeweled silver and pink clutch and silver heels.

Katy Perry has been choosing to be more and more feminine lately. For the Billboard Music Awards, she chose a very light purple Blumarine gown with iridescent shimmer and a swishy bottom. It matched her dark purple hair, and complemented her burgundy lips nicely. It was edgy, yet also utterly sweet.
