Beauty Recipe: Isabelle Fuhrman's Classic Look at the Hunger Games Premiere

Isabelle Fuhrman held her own at the star-studded Hunger Games premiere in Los Angeles. The actress, who plays Clove – the tough tribute from District 2 – stood out on the red carpet with a classic look. She went out of character for the event, choosing to wear light, feminine makeup with a delicate, metallic Oscar de la Renta dress. We got the lowdown from makeup artist Molly R. Stern for NYX Cosmetics on how she created Isabelle’s fresh-faced makeup. Read on for the recipe.

The Recipe
To make the face a clean, fresh canvas, Molly prepped Isabelle’s skin with By Terry’s Sérum De Rose mixed with La Mer Moisturizing Lotion. To allow Isabelle’s youthful, fresh skin to shine through, she just dabbed a light amount of NYX Shine Killer on the t-zone for light coverage, and only used NYX Waterproof Concealer Stick in Fair in areas where coverage was needed. Then she applied NYX Stick Blush in Tulip on the cheeks, which gave the right tint of color to give the actress a flushed, youthful glow.

Molly did a modern take on the classic Hollywood cat eye by lining Isabelle’s upper lash line with NYX Retractable Eye Liner in Blue Eyes. For the lids, she used NYX Cream Shadow in Suede as a base, then used golds in the YSL Pure Chromatics Kit over the top for added glimmer. Then, Molly lined Isabelle’s lower lashes with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pure Gold so that it catches the light. She finished the look with several coats of NYX Provocateur Mascara from the Boudoir Mascara Collection.

Isabelle wanted a bold lip, so Molly chose NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Dolly Girl. She topped it off with Kaplan MD Lip 20 Treatment Gloss in Clear Sparkle.
