Fashion Extra: A Peek Inside Gagas Workshop Lady Gagas Workshop

Lady Gaga just took celebrity fashion lines to a whole other level. The pop star – with creative direction from her stylist Nicola Formichetti – has collaborated with Barneys New York to come up with a collection of Lady Gaga-worthy, limited edition items. Barneys converted an entire floor of its Madison Avenue flagship store in New York City just for Gaga’s Workshop.

Gaga’s Workshop has everything – from clothes and jewelry to cosmetics and food treats. There are necklaces, bangles and rings; t-shirts, bodysuits, gloves and motorcycle jackets; plush little monsters and magnetic paper dolls; false eyelashes and lip kits; chocolate lips and organic tea tins; and more. Everything is undoubtedly Lady Gaga, from the chocolate armadillo shoes and studded connector rings to the twisted geometric press-on nails and lace sunglasses. Some items are even replicas of things she actually used, such as the Mickey Mouse sunglasses by Linda Farrow x Jeremy Scott from her Paparazzi video, and the Sioux lace sunglasses that she was spotted wearing a few times. The standout items are the product collaborations, like the Monster Red lipstick by Poppy Delevigne’s Lipstick Queen for Gaga’s Workshop, and the Edge of Glory 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer set by Deborah Lippmann for Gaga’s Workshop.

Lady Gaga cut the ribbon to open Gaga’s Workshop a few days ago. She wore a white Chanel tweed dress with black trim and a massive skirt with a petticoat peeking out underneath. She dressed it up with gold and black studded platforms, white lace gloves, pearls, a teeny black and white bag, black shades, and a black and white headpiece. The dress was especially made for her by Karl Lagerfeld, which is why it looked fabulously perfect on the pop star.

Gaga’s Workshop will only be open for a limited time, so it would be prudent to go on over there as soon as possible to grab what you want. Barneys will also be donating 25% of the sales from all items to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, so all your shopping will be for a good cause too.
