Product Pick-Me-Up: Lush's Rosy Lip Tint

The first blush of love is always a welcome feeling. You’re happy, you feel light, and everything seems right with the world. We recently found something that gives you that rosy, in love look, and makes you kind of feel it as well. It’s the new Lush It Started with a Kiss Lip Tint, which looks very romantic on lips. Lush sent us a sample to try, so read on for our review.

As its name suggests, It Started with a Kiss really primes your lips for kissing. Shea butter moisturizes and softens your pucker, while the red apple, cinnamon and white chocolate flavors make it extra tasty. The cinnamon leaf oil in it is also supposed to make your lips feel warm and tingly too, so you’ll really feel like smooching it up. This lip tint glided on easily, and it felt like it dissolves into skin. It does help make lips smooth, and we found that they look a lot better than before we started using it. Our lips did feel a little warm and tingly after putting it on, but it was a very faint feeling that went away quickly. Maybe you really have to kiss somebody to get the full effect! Still, this lip tint felt like a dream – it isn’t like a lot of lip products that feel heavy on the lips.

It Started with a Kiss applied with just enough formula, and it only gave lips a touch of color. It is a lip tint after all. In the sunlight, it appeared like a sheer pink, but indoors the shade looked like it had a little more red in it. It was a rosy, warm shade that made lips look luscious and kissable. It tasted great as well, though it smelled a little rubbery. The red apple, cinnamon and white chocolate flavors really came through, but with a pleasant hint of bubblegum mixed in.

It Started with a Kiss softens lips, looks pretty, and tastes wonderful. You’ll look like you’re in love and you’ll definitely love letting your significant other kiss it off you. If you have no one to kiss, or you would rather not kiss anyone however, you’ll love it on your lips anyway.
