Fashion Extra: Carey Mulligan does some style-tweaking

Carey Mulligan tends to favor clothes with a vintage or period piece appeal. She loves closed necklines and conservative dress forms, so it was a refreshing change to see her start to deviate a bit from her usual style inclinations. The actress turned up at the premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps premiere in New York in Nina Ricci dress with a cut that was different from what she normally wears. It was sleeveless with a wide neck and flowery detail, and she usually prefers high necks and quirky embellishments. The outfit came off as very feminine, and yet still interesting enough to go with her very interesting personality. We can’t wait to see if she reverts back to her old style after this, or if she’ll continue mixing it up. Let’s hope she does the latter.
