The red carpet at the 2010 Emmy awards was surprisingly chockfull of well-dressed people! A ton of ladies did amazingly well at choosing their outfits for the event. Check out our slideshow for the gorgeous photos.

Glee girls Dianna Agron and Lea Michele led the way, in very different, yet equally stunning outfits. Dianna wore a very ladylike, Carolina Herrera lace gown, while Lea went for a dramatic, dark navy Oscar de la Renta gown with cascading ruffles that she accessorized with a statement necklace. Claire Danes looked absolutely gorgeous in a glittering, Swarovski-embellished, strapless Armani Prive dress. Kelly Osbourne was a revelation in a black Tony Ward Couture gown with a mermaid-like skirt that hugged her newly svelte figure so well. Kyra Sedgwick made a splash in a burgundy Monique Lhuillier gown that looked like it was made of floaty fabric. Jayma Mays wore a navy Burbery Prorsum dress with delicate ruffles, which she accessorized with gold jewelry. Emily Deschanel and Jane Lynch both wore pretty, dark purple gowns – Emily in soft, pleated Max Azria Atelier and Jane in shiny Ali Rahimi. Christina Hendricks on the other hand, wore light purple. She’s a master at voluptuous gowns at this point, and the Zac Posen gown she wore did wonders for her curves. Tina Fey made an interesting choice with her black on silver Oscar de la Renta gown. It had embroidered designs all over that could’ve looked too busy, but she pulled it off. Jenna Fischer went with a bright pop of color with her simple, red-orange, strapless Versace gown, while Jewel chose the opposite, and came in a nude, Zuhair Murad lace gown. Kim Kardashian channeled her inner Cleopatra by donning a white Marchesa gown and a single, silver cuff. Anna Paquin gets props for being brave enough to wear a very edgy black Alexander Mcqueen gown with an uneven hem. Eva Longoria-Parker also gets props, but for going the other way in a classic, black, Robert Rodriguez Black Label long gown studded with roses. Maria Menounos sparkled in a Swarovski-studded Ralph & Russo with a sexy cutout on the side. It was a sea of gorgeousness at the Emmys! We hope this is a good omen for the rest of the awards season.
