The 90s was a decade filled with flannel, attitude, grunge music and of course, Doc Martens. The classic brand’s iconic boots survived long after the 90s was over, but it’s about time they got an update. Cue Opening Ceremony. The edgy retailer has collaborated with the brand to come up with the Doc Martens for Opening Ceremony Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Opening Ceremony really gave the classic line its own spin, with shoes that are very 90s, and yet have a modern feel to them. The Darcie 8 Eye Boot is essentially the Doc Marten boot – only, it has a heel and comes in four fantastic textures. It’s available in three kinds of animal prints – brown Monstruto, black on white Topos, and white on black Topos animal prints on pony hair – and one pebbled black leather version. The Lily Velcro Sandal comes in the three animal prints as well, with the same heel. It’s going to be one rockin’ fall with these shoes.
