Film Flavor: Robert Pattinson gets comfortable in period costumes

It’s guy watching time! Robert Pattinson has swapped his vampire fangs for period costumes for a while. With Eclipse coming out on June 30, the actor has taken a break from the Twilight saga to film Water for Elephants. Based on the historical novel by Sara Gruen, the film is about Jacob Jankowski, played by Rob, who becomes orphaned and joins the circus. There, he meets friends and Rosie, the elephant. It’s a far cry from Twilight’s Edward Cullen and the vampire town of Forks, but it’s terrific to see Rob in period clothing. He’ll be appearing alongside Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz. You’ll have to wait a while to see the movie though – the release date’s slated for 2011.
