Fashion Extra: Neutrals and Pastels at Calvin Klein

Calvin Klein’s celebration of LA Arts Month event saw a lot of celebrities in muted colors, in keeping with the neutral and pastel spring trends. White – like in this season’s other events – is still the in thing. Abbie Cornish, Jordana Brewster and China Chow all showed up in bright white outfits. Some went for grays and browns, like Ali Larter and Ginnifer Goodwin. Penelope Cruz mixed it up with a gray dress under a long, white coat, while others, namely Kate Bosworth and Melissa George, made an effort to be a little different with subdued, pink and peach pastels. The colors were subtle, and the cuts of the clothes were pretty unfussy. Minimalism is the theme these days, and it’s nice to see people in nice, simple outfits for a change.
