Beauty Recipe: Pixi shares wake-up-and-go beauty tips

There are really busy days when you just want to wake up in the morning and leave without having to pick out a nice outfit or take the time to put on some makeup. That’s wishful thinking though, because, like we always say here at SodaBottle, you must always be presentable!

Pixi is launching some new products that are made for this particular reason. The London brand has come up with fresh products for the eyes and face – all designed for easy application. The list includes: the Smokey Eye Primer ($18) in Heather Quartz, that gets your eyes ready for shadow; Endless Silky Eye Pen ($14), a creamy, waterproof liner pencil; Flawless & Poreless Primer ($28), which readies the entire face for makeup by smoothing out the skin; and the Lumi Luxe Bronzer Palette ($25), which will be perfect for summer with its bronze shades that give a sun-kissed effect.

Pixi creator Petra Strand has shared some helpful, fast-and-easy tips for using the new makeup. The makeup artist recommends using the Smokey Eye Primer as a contour shade. She says that you can wear three ways, with just quick swipes on your lids. Try it on its own for subtle shading, under a deep, smokey powder for an intense eye, or add a lighter color on top for a cool 3D effect. She says the Endless Silky Eye Pen is just as easy to apply as well – use it like a crayon to line your upper and lower lids, and it will give you the same effect as that of a liquid liner, which is a lot harder to use.

Petra also touched on how they made the Lumi Luxe Bronzer such an easy product. You don’t even need a brush with it, since you can just use your fingers to directly swipe the powder right on your cheeks, lids and lips. As a last tip, she advises using the Flawless & Poreless primer on top of makeup throughout the day. Yes, primers are used before makeup, but Petra says that this primer can be used to refresh your makeup and keep you from doing multiple retouches.

The new line of wake-up-and-go products will be out by March. Look out for them in the Target store near you, or online.
