Beauty Recipe: The Body Shop Guide to Skin Undertones The Body Shop Guide to Skin Undertones

Are you a warm, cool or neutral?

Makeup shades vary from person to person because of skin undertones – the shades beneath your skin. To know which colors look good on you, you have to know your skin undertone. The Body Shop Blog just posted a guide on figuring out whether your skin undertone is warm, cool or neutral. It’s the classic jewelry trick: you hold silver or gold jewelry up and see which one goes well with your skin. If silver goes well with your skin, then you have cool undertones, but if it’s gold then you have warm undertones.

Another way is to find out by picking the shade of red lipstick that looks right on you. To learn how to do that, as well as which colors will look good on specific undertones, check out the rest of the post here. As it turns out, I’m a “cool”. What are you?
