Soda Pop: Michael Jacksons death ruled as homicide Michael Jacksons death ruled as homicide

Michael Jackson’s death has been ruled as homicide by the Los Angeles County coroner, saying that the 50-year-old pop icon was poisoned by an overdose of anaesthetic Propofol. Aside from Propofol, which is usually used to put surgery patients to sleep in the hospital, other drugs were also found in Michael’s system, such as benzodiazepine, diazepine and ephedrine. His body also contained Lorazepam and Valium, plus anaesthetic lidocaine, which is said to have been used to mask the painful Propofol injections. The Jackson family have released a statement, which says “The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served.”

Michael’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who administered CPR when Michael passed away, said that he was already reducing the amount of Propofol being given to the King of Pop, as Michael was developing a dependence on it. Murray also gave Michael Valium, Lorazepam, Midazolam and Propofol to help sleep. Court papers show that the police have searched Murray’s office, though he’s not an official subject. Other doctors who treated Michael are also being investigated. Police are also looking into Michael’s medical records, how he got prescription drugs, and the claims that he used several aliases to get them.
